Zayn Malik spends $3 million on first home

(WENN) - One Direction star Zayn Malik has made a leap on to the property ladder by buying a huge house in London.

The singer is just 19 years old, but thanks to his band's success over the last two years, he shelled out $3 million on his first home.

The six-bedroom property is in the U.K. capital's upmarket Hyver Hill area, and also boasts its own pool.

A source tells The Sun, "Zayn is trying to be smart with his money by putting it into bricks and mortar. He fell in love with the house. The deciding factor was the huge indoor swimming pool. He's already planning some pool parties for when the band are back in town."
