Listen to Katy Perry: Part of me Radio on iHeartradio
First off, props to Katy Perry for showing her human side. While the concert footage and behind the scenery are entertaining, this film is at its best when Perry opens up about the demise of her marriage. You ache for her when she has such a meltdown, she seriously considers postponing her big concert in Rio, pulling herself together only to lose it seconds before she hits the stage. She ends up crying during the show, though the audience, no doubt is clueless, probably thinking her tears were inspired by their outpouring of love for her. Katy Perry gives new meaning to "the show must go on" and demonstrates why she’s the superstar that she is.
The scenes with her parents and grandmother are also precious. But it's Katy's openess about her vulnerabilities that's so rare and so telling of the big connection she has with her fans.
This one’s all about heart, not special effects.
