Jim Jones is claiming self-defense after he was involved in a brawl with two men at a Florida airport.
The fight happened while the Diplomats rapper was going down an escalator at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Saturday, May 4. In footage TMZ posted, you can see Jones and a older bald man get into it right before they reached the bottom of the stairs. After Jones tussled with the man, another man jumped in the melee and tried to get some swings on Jones. Police quickly responded and broke up the fight while Jones screamed "It's two of them against me!"
"I was minding my business and defended myself," Jones told TMZ after the incident. "They got what they were looking for."
Jones allowed police to take him away from the two men and remained calm as he sat down. One of the other men, who was bleeding profusely from his head, got unruly with police and even tried to resist the female officer by shoving her. As of this report, there's no confirmation that any charges have been filed in connection to the fight. Later on, Jones took to social media to update his family and friends about his condition.
“To all my family I am good love yal way to many calls n text to reply to God is good," Jones said in a recently deleted Instagram post. “I’m aight, I gotta get dressed for this party, man. I’ll be right with y’all. Promise you, promise you: I’m aight.”
